But this begs the question: are supplements supporting health, or rampant with underlying risks and misinformation? Join us for a thought-provoking, engaging exploration of the science and the regulatory environment that shapes this expanding industry.

The presenter Andrew Cyr is an environmental toxicologist for the State of Alaska Department of Health. His research and interests have focused on contaminants and feeding ecology of fish throughout Alaska, risks and benefits of wild foods, and the vital role of diet and proper nutrition in guiding human health. Health is influenced by many factors, including nutrition, physical health, mental well-being, and cultural and environmental components. Andrew’s primary mission is to provide public health guidance that underscores health in all capacities to ensure that undue harm is not caused through fear or the promotion of harmful health practices.
