Delivered by two instructors with industry and regulatory experience, this course is based on the standardized FDA curriculum, now being offered to industry professionals!

This three-day, virtual course prepares participants to:

  • Identify the intent, design, and scope of the Food Code.
  • Discuss the criteria of “APPROVED” food as defined in the Food Code
  • Explain recommendations for water, plumbing, waste storage and disposal, handling of recyclable and returnable items for a food establishment
  • Determine the Good Retail Practices (GRP) within a food establishment for operational and sanitary conditions

The course also focuses on:

  • Management duties and responsibilities
  • Employee health
  • Food, equipment, water, plumbing, waste, physical facilities, poisonous/toxic materials, compliance, and enforcement
  • Methods of instruction include lectures with hands-on group exercises and discussion.
